Your funny.
Watch where you plant those fangs!
I have a few so.
From personal experience:
From personal experience:
Learn how to handel sound in the digital domain on your OS.
Then learn how it relates to any other software.
Plan to sing "Born Free" for a while.
once you learn to use the crud you have, to be a music producer, the street fight really starts!!
Your question has all the answers!
Good luck Ralph.
Also keep in mind Musicians make lousy hostages.

I loaned one individual the equipment and paid him a fee (With a receipt for tax purposes) to play whatever he felt like.
Additionally I am currently working with a cruddy (my fault) set from a band recorded at a party.
The band is great my sound equipment wasn't but it is working through digital modification.
I just have to appologise to their bass player for calling her a ding dong.
I have also had to teach myself the keyboard and am experimenting with a number of sound devices.
Look up Brian Eno on the web and try working from there.
What are you up to ?

A $70.00 tape recorder and a really cheap mic.
plus batteries and some cheap tapes.
He plunked away on his guitar for about an hour and I came screaming out of my chair.
Enough so that I had him do more work.
Sure why not. It is just that I have seen few posts about music on this board.
And finding music has been such a nightmare that I had to learn to write it myself.
I now take the same thoery with music as I do with..
And oh christ is this going to get me in trouble.
I am not going to blatently use either a musical score or a computer program without giving credit to and or a portion of the proceeds to the individuals for their effort.
Because in my own limited way, I am a computer programmer and now a musician.
And I treat others as I would want to be treated. Or try to.

I haven't decided what to do with it yet.
It is such a powerful platform I am actually experimenting with about five different concepts.
But haven't listened to any one of them for long enough to begin to create a mood.

Oh by the way.
Do not use your favorite song or sounds unless you are real good and can get the whole thing done in 2 hours or so.
You learn to hate it!
